Sustainability

How are our products part of a circular economy / close loop system?

We create a circular economy by using 100% recycled materials (wherever possible) this closes the stream of waste and gives new life to materials that have served their purpose. Also buying recycled creates a demand for more virgin materials to be recycled! Good stuff right?

As an added bonus, 77% less energy is used to produce recycled paper and 88% less energy is required to manufacture recycled plastic!

Also, we have refills for all our cleaning products further closing the loop of waste. We are also working towards all our packaging coming from recycled materials and reusable postage packaging!

Why are MightyPods better for the environment?

MightyPods are better for the enviorment because they are concentrated needing a lot less packaging and less transport, so they have a lower carbon footprint.

Also, did you know that most household cleaning sprays, liquid soaps, and laundry liquid products are up to 95% water, with only 5% of the stuff that accurately cleans! Crazy right? So we are taking it out to save you money and save the planet, yippee!

Just pop it in our forever bottles and fill it with water from your tap and watch it transform into a powerful, effective, wonderful, solution!

Are our soaps vegan and cruelty free?

Absolutely yes! Our soaps bars, soap pods and laundry strips are vegan and cruelty free. All our products are!

Why don't we use cotton?

The production of 1 KG of cotton needs between 10,000 to 20,000 litres of water, depending on where it is grown.

For example, producing 1kg of cotton in India consumes 22,500 litres of water, on average, according to research done by the Water Footprint Network. That’s enough to take the average woman 20 years and 3 months to drink the equivalent amount of water to produce 1 KG of cotton!

Why don't we use bamboo?

Hardwood forests are now being destroyed just to make room for bamboo plantations. And bamboo is typically grown in Asia using vast quantities of fossil fuel for shipping and because it is a new material, it will require a greater amount of resources to produce, including 30% more energy to manufacture.

Mighty TP

What kind of recycled paper do we use in our toilet paper?

Our ‘double roll’ toilet rolls are high quality, soft and smooth toilet paper and they are made from 100% UK post consumer recycled paper, such as magazines, newspapers, promotional materials, packaging, boxes and office documents.

Why is our toilet paper is made from recycled paper? What not bamboo?

We strongly believe that trees should not be a one-time use product, by making toilet paper from recycled post-consumer use paper we ensure that the trees that have been cut down have a more valuable use that just being used once. This helps reduce the millions of trees being cut down to make loo-roll every year and we also help with reforestation, so we save trees and plant trees.

While bamboo is a sustainable solution it has a significant carbon footprint related to the shipping process and there is not enough information about the impact that using bamboo creates in the local ecosystems and finally by using bamboo you are still cutting plants one of the plants that helps capture a significant amount of carbon emissions.

Where do you plant trees?

With each roll of our toilet paper no new tree has been cut down and a new tree is planted in the UK, Nepal, Indonesia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Kenya, Ethiopia, Haiti or Central America.

Where are is our toilet paper manufactured?

Yes, our toilet paper is sourced, made and manufactured in England! By producing in the UK we are able to reduce the carbon footprint of our products.

Everything Else!

Will there be more products?

Yes! We are currently developing some very exciting products which will be available soon and of course they will be affordable and great quality!

Are all our products made in the UK?

Most yes, wherever we can, we have sourced materials that originate in the UK and then are made and manufactured in the UK. For the products that are currently not manufactured in the UK, we have sourced them as close to the UK as possible and we are aiming to produce all our products in the UK. By producing in the UK we are also able to reduce the carbon footprint of our products.

In the meantime, we show which country our products originate from and manufactured in, so that you can make an informed decision.

Why are there warning signs on the cleaning labels?

Don't let the warning signs on the packaging put you off the cleaning products as it only applies to when they are in a concentrated form. However, when dilute they do not apply!

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, we do. These are sent electronically by email and each contains a unique reference number. Our gift vouchers are ideal if you want to give that special person in your life some eco love. Simply choose which gift voucher suits you!
